Since Dalian counterpart helped Liupanshui,Liupanshui has developed rapidly in politics and economy.Due to the unique geographical,political,economic,cultural and humanistic characteristics,the teaching of biology teachers in Liupanshui also presents its characteristics.Political,economic and cultural factors and education restrict each other.With the rapid development of economy in Liupanshui,it is imperative to investigate the current situation of education.As the most important part in education,teaching skill is the key factor affecting teaching quality.This study aims to investigate the current situation of biology teachers’ teaching ability in Liupanshui.The purpose is that explore the advantages and disadvantages of biology teachers in senior high school and provide feasible strategies for the development of teachers’ professional teaching skills.First of all,the work of the study is literature review and introduction to the theory.Include the current political and economic situation,research on the current situation of teachers’ teaching ability by other scholars.It is found that teachers’ teaching ability is not limited to teachers’ teaching skills.It is a synthesis of five dimensions: Teachers’ development consciousness,teaching cognition,teaching skills,educational research and knowledge reserve.According to the five dimensions of teachers’ teaching ability,we design the research tools,observation scale,teacher questionnaire,student questionnaire and interview outline.We investigate from three components.Firstly,we issue the teachers’ questionnaires Online to get the first data.To ensure accuracy,for individual indicators,the students are investigated by questionnaire.Then we interview famous teachers to explore the advantage and disadvantage of teacher’s teaching skill.Integrating survey data and interviews,it is found that the teaching skills of biology teachers in senior high schools need to be improved urgently.Under the background of new curriculum reform,teachers still pay too much attention to the teaching content,ignoring the cultivation of students’ rational thinking,scientific inquiry ability and social responsibility.Teachers have strong cognitive ability and development awareness.But the development channels are deficient and the individual’s action ability is poor.Aiming at the problems of teachers in Teaching.We propose some strategies: Improve the faculty;Refine reward mechanism;Transform teaching concept;Strengthen cooperation and exchange.
