In recent years,the learning environment has gradually become a focus of learning study.For example,learning scientists put forward a new metaphor about learning,namely " learning is from the perception of the affordance corresponding debug environment and effects on the environment of the results".Compared with the constructivist view of learning,this view is able to combine the perception of learners with external learning environment organically,and result in affordance.Affordance is an ecological psychology term put forward by American psychologist Gibson,the original definition is "something to provide the animal environment,these things are the initial state or modified,or good or bad".The core features of affodance is interactive,and this is same with the interactive language instruction concept in foreign language instruction.In addition,the design idea of affordance theory which is helpful for English teachers to provide students with a variety of interactive in reading classroom teaching environment.This paper aims to study how to provide students affordace in the reading classroom environment based on the affordance theories in perspective of learning environment by using the methods of literature research,textual research and case analysis method.This study firstly summarizes the characteristics and classifications of affordance based on domestic and foreign literature review.Then the paper analysis students' reading textbooks in learning environment based on this understanding,and summed up the four kinds of affordance: sensory affordance,cognitive affordance,physical affordance and emotional affodance.For the question “ how to provide students with the four affordances in reading learning environment”,the researchers formed four types of strategies: cognitive strategies,resourceful management strategies,communicative strategies and regulation strategies.The basis is researchers' cooperation with the Jiangxi province high school English teacher A combined the learning strategies of new curriculum standard for middle high school English with design ideas of affordance theories.Finally,on the analysis the effect of the reading class in middle high school based on affordance theory,the paper puts forward six basis referring to the basis of dimensions about affordance proposed by Yumi Ohashi :pupil intended action,activity,discourse pattern,teachers assistance,peer assistance and perception results.
