In people's daily life,the transmission of information is not only rely on the language of sound,but also depend on the body language largely.Classroom is a main place where teachers exchange knowledge and information with students,which makes the rational use of body language become more important.In the classroom teaching,the accurate use of body language of teachers plays a significant role.First of all,the proper use of body language of teachers can grasp the attentions of students efficiently and stimulate the learning interests of students.In addition,the accurate use of body language of teachers helps students to understand the learning contents quickly and enhance the effect of memory efficiently.What's more,the appropriate use of body language aids to shorten the distance between teachers and students and enhance emotional interactions between them,which is beneficial to create great atmosphere of classroom learning.On the contrary,the inappropriate use of body language of teachers will cause the negative psychological experience for students,like boredom,depression,tension etc,which goes against the achievements of teaching objectives.Therefore,teachers keep a watchful eye on how to use the body language correctly and how to avoid the negative effects of body language.This paper studies the applications of body language of teachers in the classroom teaching of physics in middle school.And it mainly discusses from the following five aspects:Part One explains some basic information about this research,including the background of the problem,the content of the article,the purpose and significance of the study,the needed methods in the study and the status quo of the research.Part Two introduces the body language from the aspects of the concept,classifications,characteristics,functions and influence factor.Meanwhile,the specific body language of physics teachers is put forward,containing the experimental body language in the experiments and the content-based body language in knowledge.Part Three investigates and analyzes the status quo of the application of body language of teachers in the teaching of physics by means of questionnaires,interviews and classroom observations.And the results show that most of the teachers don't have a comprehensive understanding of body language on the connotation,the type and the function.And the inappropriate use of body language makes the role of body language become decreasing or even counterproductive.Part Four analyzes the cases and the instructional design of the application of body language of teachers in the teaching of physics and elaborates the significance of body language in the teaching.Part Five gives some practical suggestions for the efficient use of body language in the teaching of physics,combining the results of the survey and the actual cases.
