| As a representative of the high-end service industries,the typical characteristics of financial industry are high position and high salary,which is very attractive to college students.According to the investigation of Universum,the banking industry is the most attractive to students who are major in business in China.According to the survey of NetEase Finance,there are more than 60 percent of people who are not satisfied with their income,more than 70 percent feel the high work pressure,more than 60 percent consider changing job in the state-owned banks.A recent report on the health status of Chinese financial employees shows that there are many problems like excess load for a long time,exhaustion,chronic diseases.On the one hand,college students are eager to go into the financial industry;on the other hand,the living state of financial workers is not satisfactory.Why there is the phenomenon of "besieged city"?The phenomenon of "besieged city" is not conducive to the sustainable development of financial industry,but also is not conducive to the rational job choice of college students.Though there are many reasons,important one of which is employment quality.The study of employment quality of college students in financial industry is helpful to explain the above problems.Firstly,the paper establishes the college students’ employment quality evaluation index system,which lays the foundation for the quantitative analysis.Secondly,according to the established index system,the paper uses the principal component analysis method to analyze the employment quality of college students in financial industry by indexes using the survey data.Finally,the paper uses the single factor variance analysis method to analyze factors that affect the employment quality of college students in financial industry.The paper mainly consists of five parts:The first part is introduction,which introduces the background,significance,contents and limitations of the research.The significance is helpful to explain the phenomenon of "besieged city" and find real problems in financial employees and provide useful guide for college students.The research methods include literature study,questionnaire survey,qualitative and quantitative analysis and so on.The limitations are the college students’ employment quality evaluation index system does not include indexes about social security,labor relation and it makes evaluation incomplete;due to the limited samples,it makes the conclusion not universal.The second part is literature review,which combines literatures related about employment quality and the employment quality of financial industry from the foreign and domestic aspects.The combination is from the aspect of concept and measurement.There are many foreign researches,but they mainly focus on banks;domestic researches mainly focus on financial industry,banks and college graduates major in finance.Although domestic and foreign scholars have carried on many researches in many aspects,but few from the view of industry especially the financial industry.And research methods mostly are based on subjective indicators,lack of objective basis and quantitative analysis.Therefore,it’s meaningful to analyze the the employment quality of college students in financial industry using methods of subjective and objective,qualitative and quantitative.The third part is design,which consists of two elements.Firstly,according to the basic principles of systematic,subjective and objective combination,brief,independence,the paper constructs the college students’ employment quality evalution indexsystem contain 11 second-classed indexes and 19 third-classed ones.Secondly,the paper construts the employment quality index of college students by standardizing the data and determining the weight.The forth part is empirical analysis,which analyzes the data and gives explanation using theory of labor supply and demand and human capital.Firstly,the paper uses principal component analysis method to calculate the employment quality indexes of college students in the financial industry.Secondly,the paper carries on the difference significance analysis between the financial industry and other industries from three levels.Thirdly,the paper uses single factor variance method to analyze the influence of education,gender,age,marital status,political orientation on each index of employment quality of college students in financial industry.The fifth part is conclusions and suggestions.Main conclusions contain the employment quality of college students in financial industry is better than other industries,so it’s rational for college students to want to go into the financial industry.The anvantages of employees in the financial industry are the subjective satisfaction such as leadership satisfaction,promotion satisfaction,which is related to the changes in the financial industry and the social status of practitioners.The disanvantages of employees in the financial industry are unsatisfied with the objective conditions such as welfare,income,which is closely related to the imbalance between supply and demand of college students in financial industry.That is an important reason for many financial practitioners wants to quit.Education has important influence on wage income and welfare level of college students in financial industry,which is consistent with the analysis of human capital theory.The influence of gender,age and marital status on wage income is significant;the influence of political orientation on all aspects is not significant.Suggestions include regulate the supply and demand of employment in financial industry by increasing demand and reducing supply;improve the objective condition by raising the level of welfare and wage;college students can make employment choice according to their own education,gender,age,marital status. |
