The Design And Analysis Of Employment Confidence Index Of College Students

In recent years, with the social employment situation turning fierce, the difficult employment of college students has also become a hot topic. As an important component of college students, the higher vocational college students (HVC students) are facing greater employment pressures. Facing this employment situation, the students' views on the employment situation, their present employment situation, their employment confidence and the method to enhance their employment confidence and so on, are all very worthy of study. And from the angle of HVC students' employment confidence index (ECI), then, to research their employment confidence, has more theoretical and practical significance.This study could be divided into five sections. Chapter I is an introduction which explains the main research content and the present research achievements in this field. Chapter II elaborates the study basis of the ECI. Its main purpose is to clear the theoretical and practical basis of this study. Chapter III is the study of the employment confidence. It mainly contains the analysis of all issues in the questionnaire and the research about their overall employment situation. Chapter IV is the study of the ECI factor and its index system. It explains the course of how to gain the index system of the ECI and its scientific basis. This chapter is the core part of this study. Chapter V is the conclusion of the study. Its main purpose is to summarize this study, put forward relative questions and their solutions, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this study.This study samples Zhejiang vocational colleges by questionnaire form. It uses several methods to analyze the original data, as statistical analysis, economics model and so on. The next step is to build the index system which could evaluate the HVC students' ECI. Basing on the study above, it could analyze the ECI of Zhejiang HVC students. The study result shows that: (1) The whole ECI of Zhejiang HVC students is low and they haven't enough employment confidence; (2) Comparing the ECI between boys and girls, boys' ECI is higher than girls' ; (3) In the three different grades, the higher the grade, the students' ECI is lower; (4) Among the students coming from four different sources, the ECI of the urban students who comes from Zhejiang is minimum, but the ECI of the urban students who comes from other provinces is maximum.Through the study of the HVC students' ECI, not only enriches the evaluation index system of HVC students' employment situation, and be favor for predict and monitor the development of higher vocational education, but also could provide reference method to study the employment situation of whole college students. Meanwhile, according to the study result, it could know the problems and shortcomings of the HVC students' education. And on the basis of these problems and shortcomings, it could put forward some relative suggestions. They can provide reference for relative education departments and schools on the formulation of personnel training programs.
