| It is a long cold winter from November to March of the next year, which has a great influence on common sports activities of universities in Inner Mongolia. Currently, most common winter activities in universities are weak in our region. So, students’sports activities are nearly hindered and their physical qualities are declined. In Inner Mongolia, how to promote the smooth implementation of the winter physical education, and how to transform the coldness which is an influencing factor into a unique superiority are questions worthy of our deep thinking as PE educators. In this thesis, the general implementation of the winter sports courses in universities in Inner Mongolia was surveyed based on the Inner Mongolia’s unique climatic conditions, economic development, human factors and environment etc, and some targeted measures and suggestions of improving teaching efficiency are proposed. The concrete contents and results of the investigation are summarized as follows:(1) For the 1050 college students in seven universities in Inner Mongolia, their willingness to do winter sports was investigated and analyzed in detail, the results showed that college students have high enthusiasm and motivation to take part in winter sports. At the same time, winter sports facilities in universities in Inner Mongolia have been investigated and we found that current winter sports place construction is not sufficient in our region.(2) The curriculum provision of the winter sports courses in universities in Inner Mongolia was researched and analyzed through the survey of questionnaire and interview, the results showed that the winter sports in universities in Inner Mongolia are simple. Besides skating, only one university has the ski course.(3) Faculty and the method of examination in universities in Inner Mongolia were carefully investigated. It is found that the teachers of winter sports are young, passionate, energetic and creative. However, most teachers need to improve their organization form of teaching and evaluation method.(4) Through the investigation of students’ cognition evaluation and gains towards the winter sports courses, we found that these courses had some teaching efficiency to some extent. But there is a long way to go to achieve the goal of the curriculum provision.We got the following conclusions through this investigation:(1) The contemporary college students have diverse needs in winter sports curriculum. Although the scale of winter sports teaching in many of the schools are expanded, the sports facilities and site conditions were improved in recent years, there is still a big distance from the students’ diversified requirements.(2) The diverse development of the contents of the winter sports course is an important direction of the construction of this course. Due to the simpleness of the contents of winter sports course, the type of it is simple too.(3) As far as the teachers were concerned, the old ideas and the lack of teachers of new winter sports are two main factors that influenced the teaching efficiency. In order to adapt to the diverse development of the winter sports course, the number of the professional teachers,their ability and theoretical knowledge should be improved. The teaching evaluation should keep pace with the times. |
