With the development of modern science and information technology, Geographic information technology has a revolutionary impact on the Geography Curriculum, injecting new vitality into the new curriculum reform. Application of geographic information technology to the middle school geography teaching has "become a trend. We have realized the limitations and shortcomings of traditional geography teaching. The improvement of teaching methods and the transformation of students1 learning methods are key points of the new curriculum reform at present. So the further research and discussion is worthy to be done.We choose " contour map " as a typical teaching case, which reflect the training of students’spatial thinking ability and information extraction ability. At first we take careful analysis of the " New Curriculum Standard of Middle School Geography " and teaching materials as basis. Then with the guidance of Pedagogic, Educational Psychology and Geography curriculum and teaching theory, we integrate the Question guiding-Teaching Methods and advanced geographic information technology teaching methods which are widely recognized at home and abroad into the application on teaching of contour map by means of questionnaire and practical teaching experience. In this paper, we discuss the strategy of design and implementation of Question guiding- Teaching Mode theoretically. Then relying on geographical information technology, we design systematic and developmental teaching practice cases combined with the teaching contents and teaching objectives, which are suitable for courses in different type of contour map. It will provide a useful reference for school teaching of geography. The comprehensive application of questions guiding learning and geographic information technology in middle school geography teaching is conducive to deepening and implementing the new curriculum ideas and objectives. |
