Demonstration experiments occupy a very important position in the teaching of middle school physics subject. In middle school physics textbooks, each chapter contains a demonstration experiment. By presenting demonstration experiment, we can provide visual image perceptions for students, which can help students to reduce the difficulty of understanding abstract concepts and laws of physics. Optimization and improvement of demonstration experiments can enhance the effective teaching and improve the students'physical comprehensive accomplishment.In this thesis, starting with the investigation about the situation of performing physics demonstration experiments in middle school physical teaching by questionnaires and interviews, we understand that the teachers in middle school pay much attrition to the physics demonstration experiments. However, some questions, such as "Demonstration equipment lack", "classroom time is limited", "The demonstration experiment is replaced by talking about experiment", "Multimedia technology is excessively used in the physical teaching", and so on, had largely affected the normal performance of the physics demonstration experiments in middle school. Aiming at these problems, we demonstrate the ways to improve the effectiveness of demonstration experiment teaching by combining literature review with teaching research and teaching experience. Based on the above investigation, we further present the following illustrations of teaching cases about demonstration experiment:(1) The application of self-made teaching instruments in demonstration experiment. (2) The application of multimedia technology in demonstration experiment. (3) The application of "peer teaching" in demonstration experiment.By the real teaching experience of demonstration experiment using the way of "peer teaching", the important role of the effectiveness of demonstration experiments was well approved in promoting the quality of teaching.
