In the context of the new curriculum reform,Class-Selection System was once popular with the promulgation of Opinions on the Implementation of General High School Proficiency Test.For a time,a large number of school-based curriculum has been developed.The development of school-based curriculum which has the characteristics of the school and meets the individualized development of the students has become the trend of education reform.This paper is a development and research about a school-based curriculum called"Physics Change the World",based on Physics Curriculum Standards of General High School,Multiple Intelligence Theory and Humanism Theory.The content of the curriculum is mainly about the history and frontiers of physics,intending to highlight the impact and contribution of physics on human life by introducing the major discoveries in the frontiers of physics--"Physics Changes the World",thereby letting the students fall in love with physics,stimulating students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning physics.There are four parts in this paper.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the school-based curriculum,the domestic research status of school-based curriculum and the significance and methods of this research.The second part is the theoretical basis of this study,including Physics Curriculum Standards of General High School,Multiple Intelligence Theory and Humanism Theory.The third part analyzes the relationship between national curriculum,local curriculum and school-based curriculum,and expounds the general process of developing school-based curriculum,in the expectation of providing some guidance towards the development of school-based curriculum.The forth part is also the key part of the paper,which is the development and design of the content of the school-based curriculum,"Physics Changes the World".The author designed the "Physics Changes the World" from four perspectives:environmental analysis,the nature and value of curriculum,curriculum concepts and general objectives of curriculum.The author also set three main subjects:the theoretical development of physics,the technology application of physics,the future and perplexities of physics.Each subject has its own corresponding class schedule and specific content.The corresponding evaluation methods and contents for the school-based curriculum "Physics changes the World" are provided.At the end,the class period for "Soaring Above the Clouds,Looking Through the Sky”is chosen as the teaching case.It’s teaching design and editing of students’ book is introduced in this part.
