In recent years, the development of Vocational Education in China has been paid much attention, with the development of scociety,we expect more technological talents with the abilities of the basic disciplines of basic skills, professional skills. As the most basic and most important part of vocational education, vocational schools play an irreplaceable role in the cultivation of applied technology. However,the secondary vocational school students’ learning status is not in obvious accordance with the training objectives of the secondary vocational school. Especially in mathematics learning, students are influenced by utilitarian ideas, learning initiative and enthusiasm is worrying. There is no doubt that it will affect the quality of personnel training in vocational schools.In order to improve the effectiveness of mathematics teaching of the secondary vocational school, this article uses the literature analysis, interview, test, questionnaire survey and other research methods, from the teacher’s "teaching" and the students "learning" two aspects, based on the related theory of mathematics teaching effectiveness by combing and thinking, and the analysis and thinking of the present status of mathematics classroom teaching in secondary vocational school.This paper aims to put forward the way to enhance the effectiveness of mathematics teaching in secondary vocational.The reasonable integration of use in the "knowledge import" teaching materials, reasonable integration in the "knowledge understanding" reasonable use of teaching materials, in the "knowledge application" integrated use of teaching materials.This topic from the perspective of application of in-depth study, to explore the effective way of teaching, conform to the characteristics of students, and the corresponding implementation strategy, trying to find their "point", to apply the make it possible to have students like mathematics, it is also the subject of this study is all about.
