Space concept and space imagination ability is one of the basic skills of students in senior middle school.Geometry and thinking model in senior middle school are very different from that in junior middle school,which leads to the slow development of space concept of students in senior middle school and the difficulty for entry level beginners.Understanding learning situation is the premise of effective teaching Therefore,to develop the level of the students' space concept from the overall investigation and analysis of a fixed area,it is especially important to cultivate the students' spatial ability of the region.The academic circles have a long history of research on the concept of space.It first received the attention of psychologists,Piaget's intellectual development theory as a representative.With the backward of geometry education in twentieth Century,educators gradually realized the importance of space concept to geometric development.NCTM(National Council of mathematics teachers,1989): The concept of space is one of the visual perception of the surrounding environment and objects;in two,perception and understanding of 3D graphics and properties;covers observation and thinking,abstract and comprehensive analysis process;in the process of establishing the understanding and grasp of the space and the plane into each other.This paper will be based on the theoretical basis for the design of the questionnaire,the author teaches the school,grade 2015 high school students to carry out investigation and analysis:The school will be a freshman in accordance with the high school performance,low,divided into A,B,C three classes.The author randomly selected 2 classes from each class,a total of 314 students as the research object to investigate.In view of the students in the compulsory education phase has begun to study the concept of space,the questionnaire is divided into two parts before the test volume and after the test volume,the same subjects were tested.Based on <the questionnaire survey on the space idea development of students' >Yu Xiaohui,from the title excerpt adapted before test.The author according to the A version of the standard requirements,around the issue of concern,the self compiled test volume.In order to ensure the rationality of the questionnaire,the author made a prediction before the two formal tests.SPSS17.0 was used to analyze the two prediction data,and it was found that the questionnaire was valid.Because in the former,the post test period of teachers and students did not change,so before,after the comparison of the test is significant.The former test paper mainly surveys the students in the junior high school with the concept of space.That is a rate comparison from the perspective: entrance score high students,only in the graphic transform position slightly better than the other two types of students,rotating in space graphics,spatial fold differences between small,scoring rate is very low.After the test volume in the study < space geometry > a week.With the aid of SOLO classification evaluation theory,it is found that the important findings are:(1)All the students in the spatial pattern of the turn off is greatly improved relative to the previous test;(2)In specific ability of 2,and 3 d graphics transformation,class A of students is the highest rate;class B is in the middle;class C is the worst.Compared with the space concept of test case of high school entrance,the gap between B,C class and A class has increased.Especially C students' proficiency is extremely low;the majority of students lack of space conception.(3)Due to the comprehensive and strong logicality,students have more difficulty to deal with the concept of the space of the multiple element integration ability.It shows that high student space concept remains to be continued to improve.Interviews are conducted among three students randomly chosen from the test results of high,medium and low group learning.In addition to the reasons of students' learning attitude and methods,life experience and drawing capacity are also factors affecting the development of space concept.According to the above situation,the author puts forward some suggestions to improve students' space conception of three teaching:(1)to strengthen the drawing skill and emphasis on the role of graphics(2)to guide thought,break through the difficulty(3)to train intensively and timely.
