"Chinese Children Development Compendium(2011-2020)" points out: "Childhood is a critical period of development. It will lay a good foundation for the children’s whole life development to provide opportunities and conditions for their necessary survival, development, protection and participation, and to meet their development needs and play their potentials maximally.Along with the continuous development of quality education and the further implementation of primary-and-middle school students burden reduction policy, the primary school fresh students have improved to adapt to the learning life in primary school, but adaption failures still exist. For a 6-year-old child, it is not a small test to transfer from the kindergarten game-playing life to the primary school learning life. Due to the natural rule of different stages and continuity in children growth, the first grade of primary school has become the important stage to cultivate children’s ability to adapt; it directly influences the effect and quality of students’ learning. Therefore, the first grade pupils of primary school have become the focus of our attention.This study has selected the Affiliated Primary School of a university in Dalian City as the subject. It focuses on the first graders’ problems in adapting to learning in the first semester, and puts forward to the corresponding educational suggestions. Its studying fruits will enrich the theoretical foundation for primary schoolers’ adaptability to learning, lift the level of cooperation between the kindergarten, primary school and family in solving the transition problem between kindergarten and primary school, and then promote the primary schoolers’ physical and mental health and their academic progress.For the survey, a total of 155 copies of questionnaires were issued to parents and another 155 copies to teachers, in which 150 copies of of parents questionnaires were recovered, the recovery rate 97%; 152 copies of the teacher questionnaires were recovered, the recovery rate 98%, excluding 3 invalid questionnaires, actually149 valid questionnaires. Parents and teachers questionnaires integrated, there were finally 149 effective questionnaires.The study of the primary school freshmen’s learning adaptability shows that: for learning attitude, 60.4% of the students can learn actively with no supervision of adults; for learning habits, 46% of the students can complete the homework as soon as possible and 44.3% of the students can prepare the necessary school things; for discipline and independence, 53.7% of the students can behave themselves at home without parents’ supervision and 43.6% of the students can bring the required school things by themselves. In this investigation, the number of only children accounts for 80.5%, among which 42.8% of the students cannot finish doing a thing when encountered with difficulties. For listening to the lectures, 63.8% of the students can concentrate.The main factors effecting the primary school freshmen’s learning adaptability are: family environment, school environment, kindergarten environment, peers, communication and association.Finally, based on the analysis, the researcher puts forward the following five educational opinions and suggestions: The kindergarten should prepare for the primary school life; the primary school should regulate their school life; the family should help the children with their school life; the family, kindergarten, and primary school should strengthen the three-sided cooperation.
