Art education is an important component of students' quality education, which played a great role in promoting students' ideological quality, comprehensive intellectual development and the formation of personality cultivation. The Pressed Flower Art is an artistic quality education course, combining theory and basic method of Pressed Flower Art,which is a practical, comprehensive strong ornamental plant application classes. Through those practice, such as learning theoretical knowledge, preparing pressed flower materials and creating works, students can understand and experience pressing flowers after busy learning, which has positive significance in improving the students' scientific accomplishment and artistic accomplishment, and live a healthy life.In this study, the first grade students of The Eighty-nine Middle School of Guangzhou were chosen as the research object to do the teaching practice of Pressed Flower Art. Through the design for a curriculum syllabus of the Pressed Flower Art that suitable for middle school special class, the teaching practice was repeated twice in grade 2014 and 2015.Using the method of literature research, teaching practice and questionnaire survey research, aiming at the problems and the reasons existing in the teaching process, countermeasures were put forward to improve the teaching quality of Pressed Flower Art in secondary schools, so as to provide the reference and help the promotion and popularization of the Pressed Flower Art in secondary schools, enriching the content of middle school students' quality education courses.Through the literature research to look into the situation of Pressed Flower Art in middle school, the results show that the developing of Pressed Flower Art in the domestic agriculture and forestry colleges and vocational schools have begun to take shape, but few are involved in the art education of middle school, the research reports on curriculum design and teaching practice of Pressed Flower Art are relatively few, too.Through teaching practice showed that due to the lack of curriculum materials and deficient hardware conditions, thought the Pressed Flower Art course won the majority of the students love at this stage, there were still some problems existing, such as the course content sometimes were difficult to meet the demand of students, teaching methods were hard to make students to maintain concentration, teaching conditions and teachers need to be improved, etc.Through the questionnaire survey to explore difficulties on the Pressed Flower Art curriculum design and teaching in middle school, the results showed that the Pressed Flower Art course was welcomed by the majority of students in middle school, with a composite score as 8.995 points(out of ten) by students according to the curriculum content,teaching means and teaching conditions. Especially after using the improved teaching methods and curriculum materials, praise and affirmation in various aspects have increased to different extent. Students participating in the class put forward some opinions and suggestions on the content of the course and teaching methods the teacher used, and provided requirements to the school about teaching conditions and teaching management.Through the research on curriculum design, teaching methods and teaching conditions of the Pressed Flower Art course in middle school, the measures and countermeasures to improve the teaching quality were concluded. Including integrating curriculum design module to compile teaching materials for middle school students, forming teaching methods that combined "theory + practice + appreciation" with the multimedia teaching,setting up special education classroom and replenishing special tools for Pressed Flower Art course, and strengthening the construction of teaching staff, etc.
