Research Status On The Publication Of Textbooks For Higher Vocational Colleges And Higher Specialty Colleges By Chongqing University Press

During the 12 th Five-year Plan, the Chinese government has attached great importance to vocational education, and a series of policies have been successively unveiled to speed up Higher Vocational Education and Higher Specialty Education's development. The textbooks for Higher Vocational Colleges and Higher Specialty Colleges( HVC & HSC), as the carriers of teaching contents and necessary tools for teaching activities, play an very important role in the process of talent training. One of the main tasks of university press is publishing high quality textbooks for HVC & HSC, which promotes the construction and development of Higher Vocational Education and Higher Specialty Education. With Higher Education Press and professional presses under the administration of Central Ministries occupying the biggest share of the publication market, how to find a sustainable development path, which strengthen the construction of publication of textbooks for HVC & HSC, is a matter of concern for university presses.Chongqing University Press is one of the nine major presses for the publication of textbooks nominated by the Ministry of Education, and also one center for the publication of textbooks for HVC & HSC in China. The teaching materials published there are earlier than other presses, wide in variety, and can be representative.This thesis takes the publication of textbooks for HVC & HSC published by Chongqing University Press as the research object, using the data analysis and case study. Firstly, this thesis analyzes the development and reason for textbooks for HVC & HSC of press bureau, based on the published data of textbooks for HVC & HSC in the past five years and interviews with the bureau chiefs. Then, this thesis analyzes a typical publishing case and summaries the successes and insufficiencies of publication of textbooks for HVC & HSC by Chongqing University Press. Lastly, combined with the specific process of publishing planning, this thesis proposes reflections from the topic planning, production planning, marketing planning and later maintenance in four links for the publication of textbooks for HVC & HSC published by university press, which aims to provide references for better publication works in the future.
