The Dafang peasant painting is a kind of folk painting created by the local people of all ethnic groups, gathering each nation’s wisdom living here. In this painting, the painting system with local cultural characteristics has been formed. In the long period of practice and exploration, the techniques of painting are being more and more sophisticated, with a more and more mature painting style; Because of the brilliant achievements of the Dafang peasant painting, the National Ministry of Culture named Dafang County as “hometown of folk painting” in the first batch.This paper studies the application of Dafang peasant painting in junior high school art teaching, combined with the learning characteristics of junior high school students and the target and the field of junior high school art teaching, under the guidance of the new national curriculum standard guidance, targeting at the characteristic folk art resources of Dafang peasant painting. It mainly makes an investigation and analysis of the application of Dafang peasant painting in junior middle school art teaching, making scientific teaching module design according to the existing problems, and applying it in classroom teaching. Then it gives a case analysis on the feedback of classroom teaching, summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of existing teaching module design, and making improvements. the main purpose is to explore an effective mode to be in accordance with the Dafang peasant painting teaching, achieving the teaching effect of Dafang peasant painting. Meanwhile, it is to provide some reference to the development and utilization of other local excellent art resources in the art classroom, to achieve the regional characteristics of school art teaching, enrich the contents of school art teaching, improve the teaching effect, promote the comprehensive development of students and the inheritance and innovation to the Dafang peasant painting and other folk art resources.
