Paintings Space In High School Picture Performance Research

This study aims to apply the space connotation, space form and artistic expressive approaches to art courses in high school. Using teaching experiment to intervene, this study discusses the role that art courses majoring in the picture space play in high school students’ cognitive development. The research purposes are as follows:(1) to measure the cognitive level of image space of students from the experimental group before the teaching course according to the designed questionnaire and RON German adolescence rating scale;(2) to study the changes in the development of performance in picture space by comparing their paintings before and after the teaching course.In order to achieve the first purpose, literature analysis is utilized to sum up the following several picture space characteristics:(a) the origin and development of image space.(2) the form of organizing picture space.(3) to determine the image spatial structure.(4) the method of expressing three-dimensional image space.(5) the developmental stage of expressing the concept of stereo vision of a single object or the entire image space.(6) the perceptual way of the entire image space effect.(7) the extensive experience of performing picture space, including selves, families, schools, community, nature, and industry. And basing on the above elements, the author made the questionnaire of investigating the cognitive level of picture space for middle school students. The questionnaire, which is divided into picture-recognizing, picture-reading, picture-identifying, and picture-drawing, is to measure students’ picture space level.In order to achieve the second purpose, after the study of the art works by students as a whole, the author classifies them according to their common points in form and codes them from five aspects based on the above-mentioned features of picture space and the reference to domestic researches by doctors. They are:(1) the picture space form;(2) the picture space structure(3) the method of three-dimensional image performance(4) the developmental stages of picture stereo vision concept(5) the perceptual ways of picture space effect. The experimental group carry on the questionnaire after teaching to get the dependent variable values. Then the author uses the sample mean differences to do t test to test whether the average grades of the two tests have differences to display the development and change of the picture space performance of the experimental group students.The important conclusion is that there is significant difference in the paintings of the experimental group students in terms of image space organization, ways of expressing three-dimensional image and perceptual ways of showing the entire picture space effect compared with those before the trial.(1)They are the majority of students choose to use a form of parallel or convergence to display the tilted house after the teaching experiment; they like using things between the size and the direction of the tilt, relying on the overlap of the profile of form of outdoor space.(2) When describing domestic space composition, most picture space are presented in the form of stereo or contradiction. Through house, chairs, and indoor facilities, it can be seen that the students have learned to use the simplest structure style to depict the skeleton structure features of the objects.(3)In terms of the method of space three-dimensional image, most students use perspective and the perspective of freedom to change the space of family and community after the experiment.(4) In terms of perceptual modes of the whole picture space effect, 28 students have used visual perception and sense of touch after the experimental to show perspective images of space of objects because of the distance change and the self value perspective image space. This picture space expression not only conforms to the aesthetic standard of space significance in drawing which is put forward by Lowenfeld, but also embodies the idea of Arnheim, namely with the change of the way of spatial perception, the entire space frame and structure is also changing.
