Under the background of quality-oriented education as the leading value of education in our country, "the development of students" has become the goal of the classroom teaching. Let the students participate in the classroom is the core idea of the new curriculum. And cooperative learning is an important way for students to participate in the classroom. On how to carry out cooperative learning,it is an important issue in the study of the educational field since the early 1990's of the last century. The experts and scholars of the educational circles mainly study the teaching mode, evaluation system, incentive mechanism of group cooperative learning and so on. While to explore students 'performance in group cooperative learning from the micro level is a comparatively under-researched field. Aiming at the action research to explore the solution to the problem, hoping to provide a useful reference for teaching practice, this thesis analyzes the present situation of cooperative learning and the problems in the implementation process from four dimensions, including learning motivation, collective sense of honor,communication and problem-solving ability.The thesis uses the questionnaire survey method to make a survey between the two classes that the author teaches. By using of descriptive analysis, independent samples t test and mean comparison and other methods, the results show that:1. The students' cooperative learning performed well in the three dimensions, such as learning motivation,collective sense of honor and communication, but bad in the dimension of problem solving.2. During the cooperative learning, students' overall performance has significant differences in gender, family background, personality and academic performance.3. Problem solving ability and students' academic performance is significantly different. The better the students ' academic performance is, the more power of problem-solving ability the students will possess.According to the problems of cooperative learning, the thesis discusses the key issuesand strategies that teachers should pay attention to during the teaching process. After teaching practicing, the situation of my students' performance is ameliorated.They have stronger collective sense of honor and they can cooperate and communicate with each other better. So the research provides a certain reference for middle school teachers to carry out the teaching of cooperative learning.
