At present, there are few scholars at home and abroad have research on network information retrieval, and many of them are for a school or a single area of research, and the article aiming at the master graduate students’ network information retrieval behavior difference is relatively small, it is not yet mature. This article is in full reference to predecessors on information behavior, information query, information search behavior, investigate tentatively for the differences between the master graduate students’ network information acquisition. In order to facilitate discussion, the article will regard graduate students as master graduate students.The article is on the basis of reviewing the existing literature and in-depth research graduate students’ network information acquisition behavior, divided students into science, engineering, arts, agriculture, medicine five profession. Then the author combining the Wilson information seeking behavior model that the most authoritative in the library information science field analysis of all. The article from the graduate student’s professional differences, sex differences and level differences three dimensions to build the graduate student information retrieval behavior variance analysis model, then using interview method to test the model. Under the condition of the proposed model is feasible, the article designed the questionnaire for investigating the graduate students’ network information acquisition. Then collect data to analyze graduate students network information acquisition from type, content, channels and effect one by one. Through analyze the results of investigation, the author draw the following conclusions:First of all, in the positioning information stage, interdisciplinary professional training objectives and training scheme will lead to graduate students’ academic information demand in different content; As graduate students of different sex has different social attribute, there will be a lot of differences on the choice of subjects, the differences between the graduate students’ information acquisition caused by gender will be expressed through professional differences; Graduate students who come from different levels learning task is different can also lead to the differences between information needs.Second, in the determining source stage, each discipline has its special database resources in their research field, which will leads to the differences on the choice of information sources; Due to different way of thinking in both men and women, they consider priority factors have difference, which will lead to their different choice of information sources; Different level school has different information resource, such as the key colleges and universities can enjoy the network information resources more than ordinary colleges, which will affect the choice of information sources.Third, in the information retrieval stage, different gender graduate students has different retrieval way, male students may be better at the level of retrieval, female students are better at vertical retrieval; Different grade of graduate students have different information retrieval ability and retrieval methods. All of these can lead to the differences between network information retrieval behavior of graduate students.Then, in the information acquisition stage, different gender and different levels of graduate information acquisition strategies and ways to deal with the retrieval results are different, this will affect the graduate students’ network information behavior to a certain extent.Finally, in the evaluation phase, the most sensitive factor of graduate students access to information, and the perception of the value of information and access to the technical implementation may be different, these will affect the graduate student to the evaluation of their access to information. |
