This research mainly use 2012 Chinese general social survey(CGSS2012) data to investigate the influence of family background on oneself professional status with the theory of social gender,and especially examine if the effects of family background factors on oneself professional status reflect significant gender differences and what is the performance of those gender differences.The study come to these findings: To begin with, it turned out that the pre-existing conclusion that men and women have stayed in different levels of professional status' distribution that exerted obvious differences.Then,when analyzing the family factors' influence on oneself professional status, it thought that the effects of family economic factors were the most,and the effects of parents education were greater than their occupational factors;what's more, each variable of family factors that influenced professional status showed the significant gender inequality.Finally, through the inspection,it also discovered that the patterns of gender inequality in professional status still existed prominent group character, and its performance was as followed: Firstly, the higher level of education of parents was in the family or group, the lower the offspring's occupational status of gender inequality was;Secondly, the influence of parents occupational status for offspring's occupational status also existed obvious gender inequality, the higher the parents' occupational status were, the lower the offspring's gender inequality in occupational status was;Thirdly,in the family who had more cultural and social capital, the impact of family background on daughter occupational status was more than the son;Fourthly,the better the family economic conditions were, the greater the effects of family economic on offspring's professional status were;At the same time, the higher the family economic status was, the smaller gender differences were in children's professional status relatively, but the son's impact was still greater than the daughter overall.
