| Having a good understanding of the logic of the family planing decision and explaining the fertility phenomenon correctly are of great practical significance to maintaining a healthy economic and social development,because not only will it be helpful to scientific prediction for the birth rate changes and providing a basis to predict the future population trends;but also it helps to foresee the social problems caused by birth.Based on this,this Study has carried a field investigation on Bei village in East Henan Province,with the native concept of "Guorizi" as the concept tool and the method of Collective Case Study,the paper analyses family planning decisions thoroughly,aiming to summarize the logic of the family planing decision.This paper analyses the internal constraints and external conditions of family planning decisions.Firstly,based on the aspects of family minimum size,the smallest units of measuring utility and family consumption level and family standard cost of fertility,the paper investigates the internal constraints the concept “Guorizi ” has on the family planning decisions.Secondly,the paper investing the external conditions of family planning decisions from three aspects:marriage market,consumption campaign and the urbanization.Besides,from the perspective of “Guorizi”,this paper inspect the process of family planing decision,sum up the logic of family planing decision in Bei village.After in-depth research,this paper found that the concept of "Guorizi" can well explain the family fertility decisions; "Guorizi" and "The principle of cost utility" constitute the villagers rationality,but "Guorizi" is the first, "the principle of cost utility" belongs to the second.Only on the condition that the first need has been met,Villagers can make family planing decision on the Becker’s principle of cost utility,different reproductive decision-making results has and the complicated fertility phenomenon has formed because of the interacted effect caused by the concept "Guorizi" and "the principle of cost utility". |
