An Empirical Analysis Of Jiangxi FDI Effect On Employment Structure And Industrial Structure

After more than thirty years of reform and opening up, Chinese FDI as the main form of foreign investment continues to grow. Under the wave of reform and opening up, the introduction of foreign investment, Jiangxi province also speed up the introduction of foreign capital, and has obtained some achievements.Some research shows that foreign direct investment has significant effect to our country economic growth and employment. In the employment structure and industrial structure, how much influence come from the foreign capital, what the mechanism of action is, these economic problem has caused wide attention of academic circles in recent years.Based on this understanding, at first I attempt to analyze the influence mechanism of FDI on employment structure and industrial structure. Then using the cointegration analysis and causality test method to analyze Jiangxi twenty years economic data. Conclutions are listed below.There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between FDI and employment structure in Jiangxi. FDI in the first industry has brought negative effect. FDI in the second and third industry have brought positive effect, and FDI is Granger cause of employment. There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between FDI and industrial structure in Jiangxi.FDI in second and third industry have brought positive effect than the first industry.FDI in the second industry is Granger cause of employment.Through theoretical and empirical analysis of this article, we can provide suggestions for economic development of Jiangxi, such as how to increase the amount and efficiency of investment.
