Our world today, People are most important..People have become the core element of development of productive foces. Higher education is the foundation for cultivating talents and the core element of human resources development, Local colleges and universities in China will bear the double burden, first, supply talents for the local economic development, second, supply talents for the development of society. But, because of economic factors、social environmental factors and so on, the brain drain in private universities has become an increasingly serious problem, the private universities is the interim university to the young people who just graduated from college and the stage of the elder teaching after they retired. because of the frequent flow of talent, Private universities lose the core-competitiveness and have more harmful effect for teaching, scientific research and the physical and mental development of students. In the current, the mechanism of talent competition and talent flow is not standardized, so we have done an in-depth theoretical study on brain drain in private college and universities with practical significance to finding solutions.This paper is divided into five parts. This paper firstly introduced this research’s background, significance and methods.The second part of the paper is theory of brain drain in Private Colleges and universities and theory of human resource management of knowledge workers, such as the theory of employer brand, the theory of human resources incentive and5P model of human resources.The third part of the paper is on a case of Henan S university, by analyzing the status quo of brain drain on the year from2006-2011,we have discovered some characteristics of the brain drain in private colleges and universities. And analyzing the influence on private colleges and universities, caused by brain drain in multi-aspects.The forth part of the paper analysis the causes of the brain drain in private colleges and universities from environment factors, Internal factors and own factor of talents. This paper holds that the environment factors include Laws and Regulations are not perfect, Influenced by traditional ideas; and internal factors include dissatisfy the school policy and income, and own factor of talents include ages, the tenure and family factors.The fifth part of the paper puts forward countermeasures of preventing the brain drain in private colleges and universities. It’s content includes:Create a good mechanism for talent development, Optimization of talent reserve, pay attention to personnel training, create a campus culture, create good environment for the growth of talent, building the brand effect and improving visibility.This paper is completed on base of massive statistical data and data collected about S universities, During the process of writing and studying, it uses relative knowledge combines with work practice of own and analysis the brain drain of private colleges and universities and put forward some viewpoint to resolving this problem, and hope to provide some reference for the private colleges and universities administrator and managers on the Talent introduction policy, the implementation of talent strategy and establishing a reasonable talent assessment policy. And hope to provide a theoretical basis for the management of brain drain and How to retain the talents.
