As the population aging in China is increasingly severe, the calls for active aging are growing louder. As an important approach to active aging, community education for the aged should respond to the call and shoulder its responsibilities. And elderly human resource development which cannot do without community education for the aged is the basis of solving the problem of aging, so community education for the aged shoulder the task of promoting elderly human resource development. However,community education for the aged have not yet meet the requirements of elderly human resource development at this stage, which is not conducive to the development of elderly human resources and also affects the further development of its own.Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen community education for the aged to promote elderly human resource development.This paper chose the community education for the aged in Xiamen as the research object to find the problems of community education for the aged in elderly human resource development from the view of the participators and workers through the questionnaires and interviews.The study founded that the educational scale,quality and teaching mode cannot meet the need of elderly human resource development. In the light of these problems, this paper analyzed the main reasons and put forward countermeasures, such as change concepts, strengthen propaganda, focus on the construction of managers and teachers groups, pay attention to the “active aging” concept education and enhance the skills training for older adults, to achieve mutual promotion of community education for the aged and the elderly human resource development.
