Exploration And Application Of The Geometer's Sketchpad In The Junior High School Mathematics Teaching

Mathematics is a basic subject with strong logic, so mathematics teachers should not only have a wide range of professional knowledge, but also have a variety of abstract thinking, judgment and reasoning ability. With the development of the education informationization, the traditional education method can not meet the increasing demand of the students. The mathematics teaching has become more free and open.At present, information technology is being closely connected to mathematics curriculum. However, it has been a difficult problem how to effectively apply teaching tools to the practical teaching for the majority of front-line teachers.The Geometer's Sketchpad, as a commonly used information teaching software, has an advantage of being dynamic, visual, interactive, graphical calculation accuracy and so on, which plays an important role in promoting teaching effects. The thesis mainly aims at the applied research in middle school mathematics teaching.The thesis consists of six parts. The first part is mainly about the background and significance, the conditions at home and abroad, the objective, contents and methods. The second part mainly introduces the related basic theory and the basic function. The third part introduces the application of the Geometer's Sketchpad and the analysis of the present situation. The fourth part is the contrast between the two kinds of classes, using quasi experimental research method in Class 13 Grade 2, the ordinary teaching method in Class 14. The fifth is the analysis of the results and the conclusions. The sixth part is the results and deficiencies, and outlook of the future.The thesis aims to explore the application of the Geometer's Sketchpad in mathematics teaching at junior high school, helping teachers use the Geometer's Sketchpad.
