Design And Manufacture Of The Curriculum And Network Learning Platform Of Educational Communication Basing On Flipping The Classroom

According to U.S National Educational Technology Plan 2010,information technology can facilitate formal learning,informal learning,life-long learning,and life-widelearning.Zhu Zhiting,a tenure of East China Normal University pointed out that “in order to innovate information technology teaching,we must achieve three breakthroughs,namely breaking time and space limit,removing thinking constraint and transforming teachers’ role,which can be realized in flipping classroom.In traditional ways of teaching,teachers cannot always be there to tutor students face-to-face when they encounter important and difficult points.To address that,we reverse the progress of teaching and knowledge internalization,which means students study independently through micro-videos outside the class and then bring their questions back to the class,figure them out with other students and teachers.And learning efficiency can be notably increased with interactions between teachers and students.If that is combined with on-line study platform to create digital learning environment and preview before class,class can be extended to extracurricular time and teaching can be beyond the time and space limit.Flipping classroom has thoroughly overset the traditional teaching process,broken thinking pattern and reformed traditional teaching methods.Teachers’ role has changed from tutor to guide while we has shifted from putting teachers first to putting students first in class.As a basic course of educational technology,Educational Communication combines Education and Communication and possesses both of their characteristics.Multi-media and information communication technology have continuously evolved.So has theories in Communication.However,teaching methods have not been improved.Features of Communication make courses of Educational Communication more suitable with multi-media aided teaching which adds new media elements to teaching and learning and integrates it with online learning platform to overthrow traditional teaching in class.It helps to enrich teaching resources presented in class through teaching on online study platform based on flipping classroom.Students majoring in educational technology are one of the impetuses to boost this reform.educational technology majors are equipped with considerable theological knowledge in software media relatively rich practical experience,capability of computer-aided teaching and excellent professional basis.This essay puts forward building online learning platform based on flipping classroom.In the third part of this essay,teaching contents,students’ characteristics and teaching aims are analyzed in detail,and platform’s module and function are designed,including teacher module,student module and micro-video module.The forth parts focuses on the realization process of online learning platform,which implies Image processing tool-Photoshop,Web development tool-Dreamweaver,uses PHP programming language to build MySQL database,and complete the setting up of the platform to carry out test run.Last but not least,appraisal feedbacks from questionnaire survey show the results are almost in line with expectation.Final revision is carried out based on feedbacks.Online learning platform based on flipping classroom provides reference for not only reforms in traditional teaching structure in colleges and universities but also building curriculum construction of Educational Communication.It benefits collaboration between students and teachers.This idea to integrate “flipping classroom” into teaching enriches and diversifies teaching mode and conforms to curriculum reform.This platform successfully paves the way for promoting flipping classroom in building online learning platform in colleges and universities.
