Aesthetic education is an important activity to realize the quality education and cultivate the all-round person in our country.With the continuous reform of education in our country,the position of aesthetic education in teaching is becoming more and more important.All the time,in the process of learning cultural knowledge,the aesthetic education has actually been included in various subjects,especially in the reading teaching.Reading teaching is a very important platform to implement aesthetic education,and aesthetic education is also an important assignment of reading teaching.While,from long time ago,the reading teaching in our country has paid more attention to elementary knowledge learning,and ignore students' affective education.Especially for primary schools in rural areas,because of the restriction of economic conditions,there are more problems to be solved in the aesthetic education of reading teaching.So the author selects takes Chinese reading teaching in three rural primary schools in Henan province for instance to study the aesthetic education in reading teaching in rural primary school.Firstly,the literature analysis is used in this paper to define related concepts,like aesthetic education,reading and reading teaching.The significance of aesthetic education and the significance of aesthetic education in reading teaching in primary school are pointed out in this paper,and simultaneously the aesthetic elements in Chinese reading teaching in primary school are analyzed detailedly.Secondly,the quantitative research method and the qualitative research method are used at the same time to visit the reading teaching class in many primary schools.The questionnaire method is also used to reveal the present situation and problems of aesthetic education in reading teaching in rural primary school,then the reasons are further analyzed.Lastly,on the basis of above,with the help of pedagogy,aesthetics,aesthetic education,aesthetic psychology and other basic theories,some specific and feasible suggestions for aesthetic education in reading teaching in rural primary school are proposed.Through the research,the author finds that the present situation of aesthetic education in reading teaching in rural primary school is not optimistic: first,the aesthetic education in reading teaching doesn't deserve the importance it should have;many teachers don't own high aesthetic qualities,they don't excavate and use the aesthetic elements contained in the teaching materials well,so they can't implement aesthetic education well in reading teaching,there isn't any aesthetic feeling in some teachers' reading teaching class.Most rural primary school teachers still pay more attention to basic knowledge and skills,ignoring students' emotional education;many teachers still attach importance to the analysis of basic knowledge and the standardization of answer,but ignore students' unique inspiration and aesthetic creation;teachers and students don't have enough extracurricular reading,the quality of extracurricular reading is not high.Through the analysis of the problems in aesthetic education,the author tries to come up with the following strategies and suggestions:Fist,the schools should pay enough attention to aesthetic education,some large-scale fun activities like poem recital and drama performance should be hold;on the other hand,much importance should be attached to music,art,sports and so on,the situation that the curriculum schedule in rural primary school is useless should be changed.Second,teachers should improve their own aesthetic qualities to innovate teaching idea and method,fully excavate the aesthetic education elements contained in the teaching materials,encourage and guide students to carry out a large number of extracurricular readings,and implement the aesthetic education on the basis of the aesthetic psychological development of primary school students.Last but not least,the society should help the rural primary schools in the material aspect to enrich their teaching equipment,and speed up the reform of the evaluation system to solve the problems of aesthetic education in rural primary school basically.
