?Curriculum Standard of Biology (2011)? has pointed out that the completion of teaching aim should rely on extensive teaching resources. The animals that appeared in the high school textbook are an important teaching resources and it becomes a new exploration for the knowledge extension of animals during teaching process.In this paper, curriculum analytic method was mainly used to systematically analyze animals appeared in the three required textbooks of high school biology.The results showed that animal resources in textbooks are scattered and not comprehensive enough. Aiming at these existing problems, the paper summarized and compiled all the animals present in the textbooks into tabulated form. The knowledge expansion of some representative animals was carried out effectively.In the final,analysis through the practicability of this research and compiled two typical teaching plan.
