| As the development of network information technology and the popularization of education information technology, micro-learning, as a supplement of formal learning, adapted to current new media environment, satisfied learners’ informal learning experiences and lifelong learning demands, and promoted the transformation and innovation of education. Thus, it has become the new hot spot and trend in the field of education and attracts broad attention. However, through the investigation of related documents, I find that the study of micro-learning is still in its early stage, and mainly focuses on the exploration of micro-learning theory and the design of micro-learning resources, even lacks micro empirical study and design of micro-learning activity. Therefore, under the comprehensive analysis of current status, this paper provides a research on the design of micro-learning activities based on we-chat, hoping to provide guidance and reference for the design and conduct of micro-learning activities in future.This study mainly uses Literature Research Method, Case Analysis Method, Questionnaire Survey, Interview and Quasi-experimental Research Method. Based on Informal Learning Theory, China Unicom Learning Theory, Constructivism Learning Theory and Activity Theory, my paper constructs a micro-learning activity design pattern based on we-chat and makes a specific analysis and elaboration on each module element and activity by combining the formal experiences.My primary research works during the study are as follows. First, collect, collate and summarize the analysis of relevant theory and current status on micro-learning home and abroad, sum up the results, analysis the related concepts in-depth, demonstrate the features and advantages, elaborate the standards and principles. Second, further define the conception of micro-learning on the basis of a detailed analysis of the conception of micro-learning and learning activities. Make feasibility analysis of implementing micro-learning design on we-chat platform, and summarize the main theoretical basis. Third, construct the micro-learning design pattern based on we-chat and make specific analysis of each module element based on the study of relevant cases of learning activities and combining the advantages of we-chat and the features of micro-learning, which concluding front-end analysis module, preparation module of micro-learning and main content and implementation process module of micro-learning. Fourth, divide the implementation process of micro-learning into ten parts, which are design of tasks, design of resources, design of organization forms, design of process, design of rules, design of strategy, design of user experiences, design of activity results, design of activity evaluation and summary of activity, and make specific analysis and elaboration of each part. Fifth, my thesis conducts a practical micro-learning activity based on we-chat by questionnaire and interview to acquire the learners’ feedback and attitudes that are made statistical analysis to verify the rationality and effectiveness of micro-learning design activity.The conclusions that I summarized through this study are as follows. First, the micro-learning activity based on we-chat enriches the way to acquire knowledge and information for learners, meets their informal study demands, and enhances their learning enthusiasm and initiative. Second, the micro-learning activity based on we-chat highlights the dominant position of learners, enhances the sense of responsibility and collaboration, and motivates their initiative. Meanwhile, it promotes the implement of micro-learning by stressing the teachers’ leading role. Third, in the design of micro-learning activities, creating a good learning environment, improving the design of learning resources, and improving the evaluation system and organization rules will help enhance the effects of micro-learning activities. The results of this thesis can provide guidance and reference for the subsequent design and implement of micro-learning activities. |
