The Research Of Contemporary College Students' Collectivism Education

The collective discussed in this paper is a kind of psychological community with justice, equality, mutual benefit, and social value orientation. Collectivism in this group on the basis of that collective includes two aspects: collective morality which highlights the value of collective public, seeks for the public interest for the construction of "a common good”, and personal morality which follows the four dimensions--altruistic, cooperation, public and dedication, to put the realization of personal value into the "common good". Collective education to college students relates to three aspects of the collective cognition, emotion and behavior, aims to develop the "altruism" in communication with others, the "spirit of cooperation “in behaviors, the "public spirit “which respects and safeguards the collective authority, and the "spirit of dedication" in dealing with interest conflicts.Empirical study shows that many students have prejudice against the collectivism in cognition and weak sense of collective emotional dependence, the initiative in participating in collective activities is not strong, and the "spirit of dedication” is the weakest of the four dimensions” altruistic, cooperation, public and dedication." In addition, some problems such as the shake of education status, the outmoded educational content, the single teaching method and the poor educational environment still exist in the process of the education of collectivism. The fundamental reason lies in three aspects: society, school and individual. The specific reasons of the social aspect are as follows: The bad social ideological trend brought by globalization has influenced college students' identification with collectivism values. Deep development of market economy has highlighted the competition idea and materialistic spirit of college students. Network has affected college students' feeling of dependency on traditional collective. The specific reasons of the school aspect are as follows: With the inducements of academic pressure and employment situation, colleges and universities has paid more attention to intellectual education but neglected moral education. The management system of collectivism education in colleges and universities is imperfect. The autonomous course selection system has weakened the sense of class collective. The specific reasons of the individual aspect are as follows: College students tend to be influenced by bad phenomenon in outside world. Growing up in a time of peace without experiencing a major national disaster, to a certain extend, weakens the collectivism sense of this generation of college students.Due to the situation above, writer suggests to improve the current situation of college students' collectivism education from such areas as education subject, education object, education content, education carrier and education method. Specifically, the suggestions are as follows. To enhance understanding of collectivism education of college students and reflect the humane care in the education process. To borrow the traditional Chinese "holism" to enrich the content of the collectivism education. To intermingle the contemporary socialist theoretical system to innovate the education content which is more pertinent, contemporary and hierarchical. To expand the college students collective education carrier from all kinds of formal class teaching and network teaching. To make the use of practical exercises, individuality education and personality education to perfect college students' collectivism education methods.
