With the development of vocational education in China, Students have more choices in the way of accepting education. At the same time, the vocational school students are faced with more entrance pressure and career development pressure than those ordinary high school student. In this group of adolescent teenagers who have just graduated from junior high school, they undertake the “students” and “ Grass-roots workers in the future ” double identity at the same time. It means that they are not only facing the self cognitive confusion in the stage of puberty, but also means they lack of skill. In this case, the vocational school students who faced with the social anxiety are much more than before. So, we must seek the effective way to help them to get rid of the social anxiety that generated in the basis of those pressure, and change their negative and fuzzy identity.This study is based on the perspective of narrative therapy and use the method of cases work to assist the client to get rid of the social anxiety and reconstruct the positive identity. At the same time, we explore the comprehensive use of narrative therapy pattern in social work practice through the discussion of the use of narrative therapy in the vocational school students’ social anxiety. In the case study, the research process is divided into five parts. It includes: “Telling stories and Externalizing problems”, “Deconstructing narratives and Rewriting the dialogue”, “Remodeling narratives and Reconstructing identity”, “Definition of the ceremony, From thin to thick”, “Using narrative texts and Consolidating the effect”. It helps the client externalize the problems when she tell us her stories. What’s more, Exploring the unique and successful experience during those negative events and breaking up the negative identity which is imposed by the existing mainstream narrative. Moreover, Finding out the unique quality of the client which can solve the problems and consolidating client’s positive identity. Finally, getting rid of social anxiety.The results of the study show that behind the phenomenon of social anxiety, the clients often exist the crisis of self-identity. Narrative therapy pay attention to externalize problems and reconstruct the students’ positive identity while they tell their stories, It agree with the client’s ability of solve the problems and supports them get rid of social anxiety. what’s more, improve there social skills. The narrative therapy intervention for the social anxiety problem has the feasibility and operability. It can be used with case work methods and effectively alleviate the client’s social anxiety by reconstruct a more positive identity.
