Technology of single chip microcomputer develops rapidly in recent decades. With high control function and reliability, single chip microcomputer is widely used in the fields of industry control and intelligent instrument. Fundamentals and application of single chip microcomputer is a compulsory course for vocational college students major in Electronic and Information Engineering and Electrical engineering and automation. Single chip microcomputer plays an important part in the whole profession system. Single chip microcomputer is not only a fixed chosen part when Hunan province tests students'professional skill, but also one of common part chosen by students when they attend competition of related profession. Based on above reasons, it becomes more challenging for teaching, especially for practice teaching. An appropriate set of demo board will be helpful for students to grasp the application of single chip microcomputer.While the price of demo board in the current market is generally high, and tailor made for a certain type of single chip microcomputer, it is bad for students'study as well as a waste of money. For example, demo board of 51 single chip microcomputer which will become useless for students to learn high level single chip microcomputer after finish the current stage of learning. The design I describe here is to solve such problems. By adopting double layer structure, kinds of single chip microcomputer will be made into a type of standard core board. With another layer of bottom board, types of elementary and principal external circuit will be designed. By combination of the two layers, a variety of single chip microcomputer experiment will be conducted. Linked to the author's practice, this paper aims to design a set of demo board for comprehensive study. The jobs need to be done are listed as follows:(1)Demanding analysis:By analyzing current teaching situation and existing teaching difficulties of single chip microcomputer, the author proposed double layer structure. With the structure, kinds of single chip microcomputer will be made into a type of standard core board. With another layer of bottom board, types of elementary and principal external circuit will be designed. By combination of the two layers, a variety of single chip microcomputer experiment will be conducted. After learning 51 single chip microcomputer, it can still be used to learn high level single chip microcomputer and related electronic design.(2)Technique design:By analyzing functions needed during teaching of the course fundamentals and application of single chip microcomputer and experiment, confirm the design of technique.(3)Design and test of hardware:According to the requirements of teaching, finish the hardware development of experimental system and make sure the success. All circuit patterns of hardware will be provided for the teaching of single chip microcomputer.(4)Design of project:In accordance with the experimental hardware and teaching requirement, develop a set of basic experiment and source code is provided. All the hardware needed in the experimental system and the development of software have been prepared well. By testing in small scale, expected results of this paper have been obtained.
