Biography has been an important part in the field of literature in China since ancienttimes, with rich knowledge of history, multiple literary value and unique education incentivefunction, which makes it especially important nowadays when it is materialistic andvalues-distorted, lacking of the spirit.With the implementation of new curriculum reform, the biography works in the field ofteaching has also been unprecedented attention? the value is mainly manifested in twoaspects. One is that biography is treated as an important teaching content, seven excellentbiography works are elected into the Chinese Textbook for required Grade One to Five, andespecially, There is a book, in the16elective teaching books, called ?The Chinese and Foreignliterature anthology? for teachers and students to learn; The other is that the volume ofreading comprehension part increases in the college entrance examination of the new curriculumstandard. In terms of teaching biography works, although the new curriculum standard has madethe corresponding requirements, it is a short time to develop it as an independent teachingcontent, research on the teaching of biography is also not enough, many teachers and studentsdon't pay enough attention to it, nether does it cause more general thinking for teachersand students in biographical teaching. But no matter from the value of history of biographywork itself, literary significance and unique education incentive function for students inneed of the college entrance examination, biography, teaching research is very necessary.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part, it will comb biographicalliterature relevant theoretical knowledge, clear the significance of biography works inChinese teaching; The second part, it is combined the ordinary high school Chinese coursestandard with the requirements of the relevant works about biography in the universityentrance exam, the exam outline, and observes the college entrance examination in2007inthe new standard volume biography works article (modern article reading comprehension part)of the topic; The third part, It will seek both “learn” in biography and “test” theuniversity entrance exam of biography works about the reading ability. The aim is to fullytap the biography works' implication, develop the ability of students' comprehensivereading and writing of biography works, puts forward the biography works that should be paid attention to in teaching strategies and teaching related issues, basing on the problem solvingskills, and all mentioned above is to hope inspire the first-line teachers and cause morethinking of the biography among majority of teachers and students.
