Research On Capital Modernity In The View Of Historical Materialism Based On The Study Of The Economics Manuscript Of 1857-1858

Today,the contemporary world is still unable to escape capital control.capital has become an important category throughout the history of modern society.Therefore,with regard to the research on the development process of human society,especially the research on the modernity of the necessary stage of social development,the investigation of the capital category will be the focus of its study.Marx,as the pioneer of capital criticism in the scope of modernity,his theory of capital modernity still plays an irreplaceable role for the present.To fully understand Marx’s theory of capital modernity,we must go deep into the Marx’s Capital and its manuscripts,especially the grasp of the content of the Economics Manuscript of1857-1858(hereinafter referred to as Manuscript).It is here that Marx’s study of the relationship between capital and modernity accounts for five-sixths of its space,mainly analyzing the nature of capital and its status and role in modern society.This research is neither professional economic research nor speculative philosophical research.It is political economy criticism based on historical materialism.It is classic expression of combination of political economy and historical materialism.Therefore,in order to correctly understand the theory of capital modernity in the view of historical materialism,Marx’s Manuscript is absolutely inseparable.Based on Marx’s Manuscript,along with the analysis of Marx’s political economy criticism,this paper makes a dialectical discussion of historical materialism on the relationship between capital and modernity from the perspective of capital.On the one hand,this paper first combines Marx’s theory of labor value,starting from the relationship between capital and labor,and pointing out the civilization face of capital in the formation and development of modern society.As a kind of employment relationship established between labor and capital,living labor is the source of its own proliferation.The pursuit of surplus value is the internal driving force of capital movement,and it is in the process of constantly realizing self proliferation that capital promotes the formation and development of modern society.The greedy nature of capital forces capital to seek a broader space for development,As a result,world history is gradually emerging in the expansion of capital.On the other hand,capital,as a contradiction body,has its own limitations,which are the root cause of the emergence ofmodern social problems.And this limitation of capital will be resolved in the discard of capital itself,thus realizing the ultimate goal of human freedom and all-round development.Given the economic globalization and financial era in which contemporary China is located the era of the economic globalization and financial age in contemporary China,capital still plays an important role.Therefore,Marx’s theory of capital modernity still has guiding significance to China,especially to the construction of socialist modernity in our country.How to make rational use of capital,that is,in the construction of socialist modernity,we can not only adhere to the road of market economy to give full play to the positive role of capital,but also give full play to the role of government and prevent the exchange of capital and power,has always been the key to the construction of the modernity with Chinese characteristics and the key to the realization of a harmonious socialist society.
