A Report On The Interpretation Of Three Interviews Related To The New Silk Road

Interpretation is an activity which calls for accurate and quick channel of language conversion through a verbal method,so as to achieve the purpose of communication.Due to the unique characteristics of interpreting and complexity of interpreting scene,interpreters often need to complete multitasks,and obtain the maximum amount of information,while oral information is “fuzzy and loose”.So in the information transferring process,it will inevitably produce redundant information,therefore the interpreter should take this factor into consideration.Redundant processing means should be flexible,because the atmosphere is tense while time is limited,sometimes the interpreter will add some information on purpose or delete and modify unnecessary information,so to make the interpreting meet the demand of interpreting tasks.Therefore,a qualified interpreter should manage to comprehensively adopt three methods to avoid redundancy.In this thesis,the first part describes the topic source and significance,and the description and analysis of both the interviews and audiences.The second part outlines the preparation before translation(such as background information,theoretical guidance,theoretical knowledge interpretation process and evaluation of interpreting quality).The third part discusses the obstacles during the interpreting process(input obstacles,readjusting obstacles and output process).In this part,the interpreter makes a summary and finds out three methods: Omission,Amplification and Modification respectively,with the research on cultural differences,grammatical structure,idioms translation and sensitive topics,so the interpreter put forward her own viewpoint and made a comprehensive integration.The fourth part is reflection about the interpreting practice.The fifth part is conclusion,the interpreter describes the final results under the guidance of redundancy strategies,and then proposes reflections after interpreting these materials.After summarizing advantages and mistakes,the interpreter also expresses prospects for the future interpreting study.
