Construction And Development Of Sheng Major In Xi’an Conservatory Of Music

Since its establishment in 1949,Xi’an Conservatory of Music has experienced a long and tortuous course of development.From its overall development,Sheng major has witnessed the development of the Folk Music Department of Xi’an Conservatory of Music,and has experienced the historical process from the professional minor to the independence,from the standard to the systematization.This article takes the course of the development of Sheng major of Xi’an Conservatory of Music as the breakthrough point,and puts it into three historical stages,that is,the embryonic period from fifty to 70 s,the period from the end of 70 s to 90 s,and the period of development after twenty-first Century.These three different historical stages not only reflect the construction and development of the Sheng major of Xi’an Conservatory of Music,but also reflect the development course of the Folk Music Department of Xi’an Conservatory of Music from birth to growth to a certain extent.This paper focuses on the important driving factors of Xi’an Conservatory of Music’s Sheng specialty in its development process.At the same time,we also make bold prediction and analysis of the development and goals of Sheng specialty in the new era.
