The source text of this translation report is taken from Chapter Five of Internationalization of Higher Education: Critical Collaborations across the Curriculum.The book is a collection of essays in which a large number of initiatives for internationalizing teaching and learning are introduced.The fifth chapter mainly describes the implementation,result and impact of the program carried out by University of Minnesota on all five of its system campuses.The fifth chapter features formal and academic words as well as many long and complex sentences.According to the characteristics of the original text,the translator will take translation techniques including division and recasting to complete the translation under the guidance of Reiss’ s text typology theory.The entire translation report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the background,significance and structure of the translation report.The second chapter mainly introduces and analyzes the author’s background,the main content of the original text and the language feature of original text.The third chapter is the analysis of the guidance theory and the translation difficulties.The fourth chapter analyzes the corresponding solutions to terms,long and difficult sentences and so on.The enlightenment gained in the translation process and problems to be solved are summarized in the fifth chapter.
