| Xinjiang,as a core area of Silk Road,is committed to develop its economy and promote its common prosperity.Exhibition is in full swing in recent years because of its primary functions in boosting economy and attracting cooperation.Many international businessmen who mainly come from Pakistan,Kazakhstan,India,Singapore,etc.have been invited to Xinjiang to attend exhibition.Interpreter plays an important role in this intercultural communication.Being appointed as the interpreter of Indian partition of international areas,the author attends The 10 th China New Year Shopping Fair 2017.Under the guidance of translation variation theory proposed by Huang Zhonglian,the author adopts several interpreting methods during her interpretation,namely,addition,omission,edition,explanation,adaptation,which are conductive to her interpreting.With the author's assistance,Indian exhibitors go smooth during this exhibition,admiring her interpretation quality and the benefits she brings for them.Based on this exhibition interpreting practice,the author write this report,which includes project description,pre-interpretation preparation,role of interpreter,case analysis with real case attached,client's evaluation and self-evaluation.The author believes that this practice is a valuable experience which guides her future interpreting work and hopes that this report could provide some references for interpreters who may undertake related exhibition interpreting. |
