With the proposal and implementation of the " Belt and Road " Strategy,the enthusiasm of the Cambodian people to learn Chinese has been rising.As Cambodia’s friendly trade partner,China has invested in a series of projects and projects in Cambodia,thus creating many job opportunities for Cambodia.On the other hand,with China’s rising international status and economic strength,the Cambodian government encourages the Cambodian people to learn Chinese.Therefore,the upsurge of learning Chinese by people from all walks of life in Cambodia has not subsided but continues to grow;Since I have been working in the Confucius Institute of the Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences for two years,I have a better understanding of the teaching of Chinese in the Confucius Institute of the Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences.Therefore,it summarizes the teaching of Chinese in the Confucius Institute of the Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences and introduces the characteristics of the teaching of Chinese in the Confucius Institute of the Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences.This paper analyzes on some problems existing in the actual teaching of Confucius Institute of the Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences,and puts forward some tentative suggestions for solving these problems.I hope it can provide reference for Cambodia’s future teaching work.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the reason of the topic selection,research significance,research summary and research methods;The second chapter is the general situation and teaching situation of Confucius Institute of Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences.This chapter is divided into two sections.The first section is an overview of the Confucius Institute,including its development history,achievements,distribution of teaching sites and long-term development goals.The second section is about the current situation of the Confucius Institute,including teachers,curriculum and the use of teaching materials;The third chapter focuses on the questionnaire of Confucius Institute students of Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences and analyzes the results of the questionnaire;The fourth chapter summarizes some problems in the teaching of Chinese in the Confucius Institute based on the questionnaire and work experience.This includes the problem of students’ language ability and the " three religions" in teaching Chinese as a foreign language;The fifth chapter is a proposal for the problems in the fourth chapter,which is a proposal for Cambodian students and Confucius Institutes.This paper mainly investigates and analyzes the teaching situation of Chinese in Confucius Institute of Royal Cambodian Academy of Sciences through field investigation,interview,data analysis,classroom observation and other methods.
