As the last representative of Min School of Tong Guang School in late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of People’s Republic of China,the achievements of Li Xuangong’s poetry has not attracted enough attention.Li inherited the core value of Min School of Tong Guang School,emphasizing that poetry shall not blindly follow the rule of Tang Poetry.In the early stage,his poetry is similar to the poetry in Tang Dynasty.Later,he started to learn Chen Shidao and imitate Zheng Xiaoxu and Wang Anshi.Eventually,he developed his own style with the feature of plain and flat to difficult and simple and made a high achievement.This thesis aims to find something new on the poet by discussing Li Xuangong ’s family life,teachers and friends,poetic style,poetic content and cultural contribution.This thesis will analyze the poet and his poetry in four chapters.In the first chapter,the article will show the course of the poet’s life by describing his family background,life and travel experiences based on the theory of judging people and the time.In the second chapter,the article will focuses on the poetic view and the poetic style of Li Xuangong,and explores the internal relations between the continuous development of his poetic view and the three changes of the poetic style.The third chapter starts from the poems of Li Xuangong,explains the content of his poems with the concrete poems,and expounds the mood and emotion of the times contained in the poems and poems of Li Xuangong.The fourth chapter tries to show the contribution made by Li Xuangong for the survival of classical poetry at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China and the preservation of precious national culture.
