| As a kind of important way of memory, the associative memory includes intra-item associative memory,within-domain inter-item associative memory and within-domaininter-item associative memory. In this paper, weinvestigate the characteristics of visual memory and the factors that affect the memory of children with spelling difficulties. There are two parts in this study, including four experiments. The first two experiments are the first part, and the latter two are the second part.In Experiment 1,the study investigated the intra-item associativememory of children with spelling difficulties. The results showed that there was no significant difference in response time and accuracy. In Experiment 2,the study found that there were significant differences in the correct rate between two groups, but there was no significant difference in response time.In Experiment 3,the experiment studied on influence of similar shaped components,on component associative memory of children with spelling difficulties. The results showed that the correct rate of component associative memory of children with spelling difficulties was significantly low when compared with the normal group, there was no significant difference in reaction time.In Experiment 4,it studied the similar effect on voice associative memory when children with spelling difficulties. The results showed that his correct rate of children with spelling difficulties was significantly lower than normal children, but there is no difference in reaction time. And when increase the difficulties of the voice associative memory,it have more influence on the spelling difficulties. All in all,the conclusion of those experimental results are:(1)Children with spelling difficulties have normal level ofintra-item associative memory.(2)Children with spelling difficulties have lagged behind in inter-item associative memory.(3)The level of componentsassociative memoryamong the children with spelling difficulties is low.(4)The influence of the similar level of the componentsassociative memory of children with spelling difficulties is greater than that of normal children.(5)The effect of phonological similarity on the memory of children with spelling difficulties is higher than that of normal children. |
