Stimulating Preparation And Research Of Blue-black Copper Barium Silicate

Copper barium silicate used in ancient china are one kind of inorganic pigment,mainly used at Yellow River basin and around.Antiques founded so far have three kind of Copper barium silicate pigment,Chinese purple BaCuSi2O6,Chinese blue BaCuSi4O10 and Chinese dark blue BaCu2Si2O7.This paper mainly discuss Chinese dark blue.There are only two relics used Chinese dark blue,and there are few previous paper about analysis and simulation of preparation.Simulating the preparation of helps us discussing the process of fabricating,also is meaningful for exploring chemical process in ancient China.What's more,studying properties of pigment is meaningful for identifying and protecting of this pigment.This paper included:First of all,we analyzed 8 copper barium silicate samples from four provinces by polarizing microscope and energy spectrum of SEM.Compared the result with previous research,concerned the technology of fabricating Chinese dark blue in laboratory and designed different schemes.After analyzing product by polarizing microscope and discussing,we speculated the cause for emergence of two relic which has Chinese dark blue.Then we studied the properties of Chinese blue dark fabricated in laboratory,including authenticating by polarizing microscope,refractive index and acid-alkali resistance,in order to provide reference for identifying and protect this pigment.
