When primary foreign students study Chinese, they often have big problems in learning Chinese phonetics, and students from different countries shows different biases.Pronunciation is like the foundation of a building,it’s very necessary for foreign students to lay a solid foundation in Chinese pronunciation,it provides practical help for later language learning and using Chinese to communicate with others in daily life. However,in author’s practical teaching,it is found that when students learn pronunciation, they both have big problems in pronunciation and listening, especially in the study of initial consonants, and students from different countries have different problems. This thesis mainly focuses on the error of foreign students in primary mixed class learning Chinese initial consonants. After the output test and the input test of initial consonants for students,I organize and summarize the error data, then I show the error rate of the students’ output and input test on the initial consonants in the form of a table,so I can observe which initial consonants have higher biases rates among the students, and students in which country have the higher biases rates in initial consonants.Through analyzing the errors,I will proposed a targeted teaching strategy for initial consonants. This thesis consists of six parts. In the introduction part, firstly I expound the significance and the value of this thesis. Then I summarize the predecessors’ study of the status quo of foreign students study Chinese initial consonants. Finally,I put forward the research content, ideas and methods of this thesis. The first chapter is teaching background.Firstly, the initial consonants of Mandarin Chinese are described in detail from the pronunciation method and the pronunciation part, and then the teaching objects are introduced from the aspects of natural features, learning motivation and the level of Chinese.Secondly, from the perspective of the students’ native language, students from seven countries, including six languages(including South Korea,Indonesia,Pakistan,Yemen,Sudan, the United States, and Congo),made difficult predictions when they learn Chinese initial consonants. The second chapter analyzes the initial consonants’ errors of primary mixed class students. This chapter analyzes both output test and input test of the initial consonants’ errors in seven country students. In the form of a table, first calculate the error rate of the student’s initial consonants in the entire class, and then distinguish the country,to see the bias of the initial consonants in the same country’s students. At the same time, students’ errors in a certain country is calculated as the proportion of the total number of errors in the class. In order to present the problem more concretely, the author also describe and analyze the types of students’ errors,so it can supplement the content that the form does not present. The third chapter compares the students’ initial consonant’s errors in different countries of the primary mixed class. In this chapter, the initial consonants of the students’ biases are interpreted from the perspective of the pronunciation positions of the seven consonants,named,bilabial,lip-labial,middle-tongue,tongue-rooted,supradental,lingual,and blade-palatal.A comparison is made to see which initial consonants have a higher rate of error among students in this country, while students in another country have a smaller or no problematic bias rate, which leads to targeted instruction. The fourth chapter is about the initials teaching strategies for foreign students in primary mixed class. This chapter compares the previous error analysis with the bias, and proposes corresponding teaching principles and teaching strategies for the initials of the seven pronunciation positionsThe fifth chapter is teaching reflections and suggestions.First of all, suggestions are made for the initial consonants teaching, and then there are the deficiencies and problems that the author thinks has to be solved in the future study.
