China and Cambodia established diplomatic relations on 19th. July,1958. China is the third-largest trading nation of Cambodia. Chinese makes of 5%of the total population in Cambodia. With the implementation of the opening-up policy, mere are more and more Cambodians starting to learn Chinese and coming to China for study. During the process of the Cambodian learners learning Chinese, their pronunciation learning is generally at the initial stage of Chinese learning which is both fundamental and pivotal. If the errors in the stage of the pronunciation learning can not be corrected, they will fossilize and affect learners’long-term study. This thesis targets the errors existing in the Cambodian students’learning of the initial consonants and vowels of Chinese syllables to correct their bad pronunciation on the basis of the Interlanguage Theory, Error Analysis and Contrastive Analysis from the contrast between Chinese and Cambodian and the analysis of the acoustical characteristics for Cambodian students’pronunciation of the initial consonants and vowels of Chinese syllables combining with the corpus collected from phonetic teaching. This thesis is divided in to four parts:The first part is preface. This part exactly explains the causes of the selection of the subject, describes the present academic research on the Chinese phonetic acquisition of Cambodian learners and determines this paper’s research method and construct the structural framing on the basis of previous research achievements. The second part contrasts the consonants and vowels of Chinese syllables and Cambodian, then analyzes the similarities and dissimilarities in the consonants and vowels of these two languages. The third part analyzes the Cambodian learners’errors in Chinese consonants acquisition and puts forward corresponding solutions. The fourth part analyzes the Cambodian learners’ errors in Chinese vowels acquisition and puts forward corresponding solutions. The fifth part is conclusion, summarizing the main views in the article and at the same time pointing out the limitations and recommendations for the future research are presented. |
