Practice Report On Information Engineering Technology Text(Excerpts)

With the continuous development of our economy and society,there are a wide variety of technology products more and more involved in people’s life,so a large number of professional of science and technology text increasingly,society urgently need professional translators in the field of science and technology to meet the market demand.When translators translate a scientific and technical text,they have to take into consideration of the characteristics of this type of texts and its translation principles and strategies,according to the principle of text translation of science and technology and then take appropriate translation methods and strategies,and on the basis of in combination with their professional knowledge,translators should master some professional text background knowledge of science and technology as much as possible.As for different types of texts,translators have to maintain a case-by-case principle and display their subjective initiative in order to successfully complete the translation task.In this translation work,the author has chosen the university disciplines involved in the part of information engineering professional English text as a translation.This paper combined with Newmark’s text function theory and Nida’s functional equivalence theory,which are applied to the information engineering science and technology of text translation in order to help the translator to have a more profound understanding in text translation of science and technology research field.In this thesis,I mainly elaborate strategies in scientific and technical texts.First of all,I start from characteristics of scientific and technical texts,or to be more exactly,characteristics of words,sentences and paragraphs in scientific and technical texts and then I introduce the information engineering technology(excerpts)specific text translation cases,mainly analyze the translation strategies of text of science and technology,or to be more exactly,translation strategies of words,sentences and paragraphs in scientific and technical texts.At the same time I point out two characteristics in the text translation of science and technology,which reveal the normative and accuracy of the translation process;the author understand the characteristics,methods and strategies of text translation of science and technology,also play subjective initiative and flexibility in specific translation problems in a professional manner to complete the translation practice.
