With the development of science, the extension of technical exchange and acceleration of updating rate, electronic information technology plays an increasingly important role in this modern society. At the same time, people also need to share and exchange the latest electronic information technology faster and more accuracy. So how to do well in the translation of the electronic information technology English, a branch of scientific English, becomes a focus at present and also a hot topic for the people, too. In the existing translation, the translator would usually like to use all kinds of related theories to guide the electronic information engineering English translation, especially use the literal translation to solve the word translation. Because of the ambiguous vocabulary classification and lack of professional knowledge, the translation is unsatisfactory and difficult to be accepted by readers sometimes. To meet the situation, this paper makes an analysis of the characteristics of electronic information engineering, classifies the specialized words, discusses the influence of the choices of words meaning, the limitation of context and the professional field based on the professional knowledge and concludes the translating methods. Moreover, some well-translated and popular versions are emphasized so as to inspire translators to seek for the translation that is faithful to the original text, of accurately covering professional knowledge, and better acceptable to the readers.
