With the rapid development of economic globalization,English has become an indispensable linguistic tool in international exchange.Today,English learning is increasingly popular;therefore,children’s English learning is placed in a prominent position by parents.And comparatively,the discrepancies in children’s English education at home and abroad have appeared evident as well.This report is an interpreting report,taking the author’s interpreting practice for “Sino-foreign Seminar on Children’s English Education” in Doorway English training school as the subject.The event was organized by the training school,featuring Chinese and foreign teachers as the main speakers followed by Q & A discussion between parents and teachers.In this report,the author analyzes and handles the problems which occurred in the task,from the perspective of the Interpretive theory.There are four chapters in this report.The first chapter is the description of the task,including the background,task requirements and nature of the interpreting.The second describes the process and post interpreting evaluations.The third chapter is a case analysis which briefly introduces the theory of Interpretive theory followed by a discussion of the problems that arise in the practice and their resolutions under the Interpretive theory.And the fourth chapter is the summary of the practice,involving reflections and prospects.Last,the author hopes this report will help other interpreters deal with similar problems.
