In recent years,the development of elaborate-style painting has gradually become diverse.Meanwhile,there emerge numerous excellent works with great modernity and innovation,which turn out to be really different from those of the past in themes as well as techniques,especially the color of figure elaborate-style paintings.As we all know,paintings can strengthen their emotional impact by presenting various colors.It was a pity that most Chinese artists had been contained at using colors to express emotion.Luckily,in recent years,with the communication of Chinese traditional culture and western culture,as well as the cultural shock,the ancient view of color usage has changed greatly.We can see entirely new modern color emotions in more and more meticulous figure paintings,because the artists have paid more attention to the important role of colors in expressing emotions.In the traditional figure elaborate-style paintings area,those works that have modernity have become known to the public,and more and more color matchings come out in the whole field.Some are primitive simplicity,some are gorgeous and colorful and others are elegant and gentle,all of which are competing in the painting world.Why have so many gray-tone paintings crowded in the painting world of our country within such a short period?What value do they have?And what role do they play in the development of figure elaborate-style painting?All the above questions are worth studying.Based on it,this thesis would try to analyze them through setting the three famous artists as examples,in order to discover the vigorous vitality hidden in the gray-tone paintings.
