Study On The Relationship Of Interpersonal Trust,Social Support And Loneliness Of Master Students

Due to the appearance of virtual world and the society develops so fast,more and more p eople feel lonely in real life.Now the loneliness is a key factor to evaluate the mental health,and it becomes a hot point for phychology scholar.Most of research did before mianly foucse d on special crowd,such as old man and blind children,but few about the graduate students.T he main aim of this investigation is to discuss the relationship among interpersonal trust,soci al support and loneliness of master students.Regarding research tools,it selects the interperso nal trust questionnaire which is compiled by Rotter JB(1967).The Social Support Rating Scal e which is compiled by Scholar Xiao Shuiyuan of our country in 1986 and revisited in 1990 i ncluding three factors of objective support,and the Emotional and Social Loneliness Scale co mpiled by Wittenbers et all from abroad in 1986 covering two factors.This study extracted a total of 400 master students from all universities of Heilongjiang,Hubei,Beijing and Shanghai as the research object to receive the survey and the valid questio nnaire sample was 375.Then it analyzed and handled the gathered data with SPSS software a nd built the model with Amos.Ultimately,it draws the following conclusion: first,master’s o verall loneliness experience is strong with interpersonal trust level to be a bit above average a nd social support level to be obviously slow;Second,master’s loneliness and social support w ill be significantly affected by the partial demographic variables;Third,there exits remarka ble pair wise correlation among the loneliness,interpersonal trust and social support of maste r;At last,social support plays a role of some intermediaries between interpersonal trust and l oneliness.This paper makes a summary to the deficiency of the study apart from the further analysi s and discussion according to the research results.At last,it puts forward some specific sugge stions according to the loneliness level,the current situation of interpersonal trust and the soci al support level of master students.
