The Influence Of Psychological Distance To Forgiveness And Trust,Apology And Attribution’ Mediation Effect On Social To Distance Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a good virtue,and is also a strategy of interpersonal communication.Therefore,with the development of social psychology and positive psychology,the topic of forgiveness phenomenon has called more and more researchers to explore.Above the past research,there were lots of aspects,but there are few studies from the perspective of psychological distance,and analyze its influence on the phenomenon of interpersonal forgiveness.So will the dimensions of psychological distance affect the forgiveness motivation ? And whether there are other variables(such as trust,apology and attribution)will influence the motivation.This question will be the focus of my research.This research is divided into two architectural research,research one is divided into four experiments,to explore respectively that the effect of different demographic variables on forgiveness and if the three dimensions of psychological distance(social distance,spatial distance,time distance)will have significant differences on forgiveness.The study found that:(1)there are gender differences among the college students’ grade of forgiveness,the girls’ willingness to forgive is significantly higher than boys;(2)the non-only child’ willingness to forgive is significantly higher than the one-child’(3)the rural household register students’ willingness to forgive is significantly higher than urban students’(4)there is no different of forgive between specialized students and the forgiveness scores of students who have religious is a bit higher than students without religion;(5)if time distance is longer,individuals are more likely to forgive;(6)if the social distance is closer,individuals are more likely to forgive.On the basis of studying one,study 2 which is divided into three experiments will continue to discuss trust,apology and attribution’ mediation effect on social distance to forgiveness.The results showed that:(1)trust plays a partial mediation effect on social distance to forgiveness;(2)apologize for forgiveness plays a complete mediation effect to social distance;(3)all dimensions of attribution(introversion:31.04%,stability:37.28%,and controllable:36.06%)play a partial mediation for the influence of social distance to forgive.
