A Report On The E-C Translation Of Related Foreign Media News About The Xiongan New Area

Translation as a link in the different cultures,the purpose is to transfer information,exchange views and enhance understanding.As the main strategy of news translation,news adaption has been applied to translation practice in a long period,especially in the translation of news.In the information age,the news adaption is becoming more and more important especially in the political news translation.News translation is widely used.However,as an important means of news translation,news adaptation has attracted the attention of translators and journalists,but it needs further study and discussion.At present,the establishment of China’s Xiongan new area and related policies have aroused strong concern at home and abroad.The author believes that it is necessary for us to understand the views of the major foreign media on Xiongan New Area by translating the reports of the major foreign media.And conduct the analysis of public opinion in time.Therefore,this thesis chooses the reports of Xiongan New Area,the mainstream media in Britain and America,as the adaption materials to carry out translation practice and research.The thesis is divided into four chapters,firstly,the thesis clarifies the authenticity,timeliness and freshness of the source text and the language characteristics of accuracy,conciseness and plainness.And we also have to notice the news text with strong political concepts.Combining with Vermeer’s skopos theory,the thesis discusses the adaption methods from three aspects of title,lead and text,such as adapting title with the core principle,adapting lead with the method of omission translation to give the core idea and adjusting text with the method of extract and merge passage.Finally,the author expounds some inspirations and insights that gained from this translation practice,with a view to providing references for the other news adaption practice and the writing of practical reports.
